The Vohtarak were a species of red Visorak.

History

Creation

Like all other types of Visorak, the Vohtarak were created by Makuta Chirox while he conducted a number of Rahi-Related experiments, that were conducted using viruses and Energized Protodermis. After created an army of the spiders, the Makuta unleashed them on the island's inhabitants, killing the majority of them and destroying their settlement. Following this event, the island was renamed 'Visorak' due to the species being created there.

Horde

Chirox then began to use his new army for the benefit of the Brotherhood of Makuta. When the Visorak Horde was organised, the Vohtarak were intigrated into it under the rule of Sidorak and Roodaka.

Mask of Light

A number of Vohtarak were stationed on Destral during the events involving the Events of the Toa Hagah's transformation into Rahaga. While Gaaki, Bomonga, Kualus, and Pouks were captured and mutated, Norik and Iruini escaped and returned to battle their way to the others. Norik was then able to threaten a Vohtarak into leading the two Toa to the cage where the others were held.

Visorak Invasion of Metru-Nui

When Makuta Teridax was imprisoned in a 'Toa Seal', and was encased in Protodermis, he summoned the Horde to attack the city. The Visorak Armies were mobilized and arrived in the city in time to invade it and capture the Toa Metru as they returned.

The Visorak then brought the Toa to an area of web connected around the Coliseum, where the Toa were exposed to the Visorak's Hordika Venom and were left to fall to the ground after their mutation. However, the Toa were saved by the Rahaga, much to the Horde's annoyance.
At some point around this time, an intelligent Rahi named Krahka shape-shifted into the form of a Vohtarak in order to sneak into Roodaka's chamber and kill her. However, the Vortixx saw through her disguise and bargained with her.
Some time after this, a swarm of Vohtarak invaded the Archives in an attempt to corner Toa Hordika Whenua, Toa Hordika Nuju, Rahaga Bomonga, and Rahaga Kualus. However, Whenua, fueled by the rage of his Rahi-side, felt threatened and resorted to charging up his Rhotuka Launcher. When he launched it he had no control over it, resulting in it striking the cieling and the room caving in on them. The Toa and Rahaga were later rescued while the Vohtarak were out cold.

Set Infomation

The Vohtarak set was released in early 2005 as one of the six breeds of Visorak. The set contained two Rhotuka Spinners. The Vohtarak were released as item 8742.
