The Metru Mantis were mantis-like Rahi that usually lived peacefully around Matoran.
Diet[]
Metru Mantis fed on other types of insectoid Rahi. One example would be the Visorak.
Natural Abilities[]
All Metru Mantis had a type of venom that they could use to attack or kill prey.
When the Rahaga learned of their habit of eating Visorak, they begun to round them up and house them in the Archives, in hopes of keeping them safe so they could one day unleash them on the Visorak. However, the arrival of the Toa Metru changed their plans for an attack force.
After Makuta Teridax was killed by a fragment of Aqua Magna, the Metru Mantis, and the other Rahi, had to join the mass exodus to Spherus Magna to escape the Matoran Universe, before it finally broke down, in order to survive.
Abilities and Traits[]
The Metru Mantis were comonly known to prey upon Nui-Jaga. Their favoured method of attack is by using their sharp forelegs, quick reactions, and by use of their mandibles. Another form of attack that is used by Metru Mantis is injecting their venom into a target, however they only do this once they have a grasp of their victim.
Metru Mantis are known to be nocturnal and, on average, grow to a hight of six to eight feet high.
