Biographical Information
ColorsBlue, Brown
Species StatusAlive

The Ice Vermin were Rahi that were known to take residence in Ko-Metru.

The Ice Vermin were one of the many species to be created by the Brotherhood of Makuta using viruses and liquid Protodermis to populate the Matoran Universe.

Great Cataclysm

Before the Great Cataclysm occurred, the Ice Vermin were harmless Rahi. After the Great Cataclysm the species became dangerous as their Rothuka had absorbed some energy from the quake. This made them able to fire Rothuka that could unleash seismic force and caused them to become more violent by attacking larger creatures in packs. As the Ice Vermin expanded their territory in Metru Nui, they had conflicts with the Stone Rats and Kavinika; something that only made all Rahi more vulnerable to the Visorak.Toa Hordika Whenua claimed that they had to capture as many Ice Vermin as possible as they could destroy the remains of the city with their Rothuka or the Visorak could mutate them into something even worse.

After Teridax was killed by a fragment of Aqua Magna, the Ice Vermin and the other Rahi will have to join the mass exodus to Spherus Magna to escape the Matoran Universe before it finally breaks down in order to survive.

Abilities and Traits

The Ice Vermin’s Rothuka have seismic powers. If they lauched it to the ground they could make small quakes, and if they lauched it on a living being it would shake to pieces.

Set Info

The Ice Vermin model could be built from the pieces of the Rahaga sets Gaaki, Pouks and Kualus. The instructions where divided between the three sets instruction booklets.

"The trick is not capturing them. The trick is keeping them from bringing down buildings while you are doing it. Still, Ice Vermin aren't hard to find. Just look for a quake."
