The Makuta Symbol
Makuta were a species that were created when a being emerged from a large pool of Antidermis. All Makuta were forced to join an organization called the Brotherhood of Makuta as their reason for existence was to create Rahi to populate the Matoran Universe. The Makuta begun to rebel as the Toa gained all the glory, they became jealous and greed consumed them. Upon the Makuta's evolution, turning them into Antidermis, Makuta Teridax led a rebellion against Mata-Nui, exposing the Mata-Nui to the Makuta virus making him fall into a deep sleep. The Brotherhood were then free take over the universe. The outcome of the plan led to the deaths of all Brotherhood of Makuta members except the brotherhood leader, Teridax. Teridax was later killed by Mata Nui.

Trivia[]
- Teridax and Miserix were the last living Makuta as Teridax killed off the remaining ones to prevent any challenges to his throne. As of now, Miserix is the last surviving Makuta.
- Makuta had the ability to create Kraata and at extent, Rahkshi. They were the only beings in the Matoran Unverse who can do this.
- The Makuta evolved into pure Antidermis energy.
