The Ranama are amphibious creatures that live in molten protodermis.
History[]
The Ranama are one of the many species to be created by the Brotherhood of Makuta using viruses and liquid Protodermis to populate the Matoran Universe. The Ranama lived in the canals of molten protodermis in Ta-Metru in Metru Nui. After the Great Cataclysm occurred, the Ranama were forced to migrate to the island of Mata Nui. Mata Nui's population of Ranama was forced to migrate back to Metru Nui after the Toa Nuva unleashed the Bohrok Swarms on the island. The Ranama succesfully arrived to the Matoran Universe, where they resided for some time.
After Teridax was killed by a fragment of Aqua Magna, the Ranama and the other Rahi will have to join the mass exodus to Spherus Magna to escape the Matoran Universe before it finally breaks down in order to survive.
Abilities and traits[]
The Ranama are invulnerable to the searing heat of molten protodermis. This allows them to swim in molten protodermis and live in it. Ranama are known to hide under the surface of the lava rivers, attacking with their tounges when their preys come close. Ther are known to eat Nui-Rama, but they can eat anything that comes close, inculding Matoran.
