The Twin Light Staffs were a pair of weapons used by Toa Takanuva following Makuta Teridax invading the Matoran Universe.
History[]
It remains unknown how Takanuva acquired the Twin Light Staffs but it is known that he gained them while trying to disguise himself as a Toa of Ice. It is likely that he took them as they reminded him of his original Staff of Light.
Takanuva used the Twin Light Staffs in the events leading towards the Matoran Universe landing on Bara Magna. When he chased a swarm of Rahkshi out onto the surface, he was attacked by Glatorian Gresh. Takanuva used his Twin Light Staffs during this battle; which lasted until the two discovered they were fighting for the same cause and so formed an alliance. Takanuva then used the Twin Light Staffs during the Battle of Bara Magna.
Following the Golden Armor being scattered, Takanuva set off in search of them and used his Staffs to fight two Rahkshi of Heat Vision. However, he was knocked to the ground and not given the chance to return to his feet without being injured by their Heat Vision. Takanuva survived this by using his Light Staffs to create a Hologram of himself. The two Rahkshi reacted quickly and fired their eyebeams at the Hologram only to discover its intangible state. Their eyebeams struck each other and resulted in the two Rahkshi blinding each other.
Takanuva still carried the Twin Light Staffs.

Being a Toa Tool, the Twin Light Staffs had the ability to channel the user's Elemental Powers.

- The Twin Light Staffs were released with the Takanuva Stars set of 2010.
- Each Twin Staff could be built using 2 pieces.
Trivia[]
- As the tools were not originally Takanuva yet are still Toa Tools, it would suggest that they once belonged to another Toa or were created by Artakha.
